EDUCATIONAL INTERPRETER MEETING
Aug 20, 2001

On August 7, 2015, Alonzo Sign Language Interpreting, LLC held its semi-annual educational sub-contractor interpreter meeting. Held at the Courtyard Marriott in St. Augustine, Florida, “Team Teal” kicked things off with a catered brunch, new embroidered polo shirts (which has become a staple), and gifts for everyone. The professional feel of the venue was enhanced by the Alonzo SLI signature teal and black decor and discussion materials. Like kids on their first day of school, we all felt the warm excitement that a new school year always brings!

Along with discussion of professional standards and company protocols, this year’s attempt at providing practical information to our sub-contractors was a presentation given by our dear friends Michael and Xiomeli Cordero, on financial planning. Because we do not get together often enough, we worked on D.S.T (Deaf Standard Time 😉 ) and lingered far into the afternoon with questions, discussions, and simply spending time together.

Thank you to everyone who attended. You are part of a Team considered as the industry leader in educational American Sign Language interpreting here in Florida!
